Underwater Video- Snook Swarms

Snook Swarms/Monday August 3, 2009/Gulf of Mexico-

Summertime snook fishing on Anna Maria Island is always highly anticipated due to the swarms of snook that make their way onto the beaches. Following the bait, they cruise the coast in search of food, and end up making a hay-day for fishermen from May through September. When I heard mass amounts of the snook were stacking up under the Rod and Reel Pier on the north tip, it made a perfect opportunity for some cool underwater snook video.

Thanks. I hate to say it but the video doesn’t even really do justice to how many were actually down there. I wish i could’ve gone out further, but the last time i got greedy for deep pier footage I got hooked in the hand so I did the best I could ha.
